This site is not a professional photography or travel site. It is about getting out in nature, slowing down just a bit and actually engaging with it. Engaging sometimes means smelling flowers. Other times it means taking a few pictures. It means ending up with wet socks or muddy sandals. It also means getting a few mosquito bites from time-to-time.
Engaging can be as simple as slowing down and listening to birdsongs while walking your dog, or trying to identify the trees as you walk past. I do both of those when I go out. I have a 5 year old Black Lab who needs several walks every day to be content. So I have chosen to sort of multi task- he carries his ball and I carry my cell, a set of binoculars, and a Nikon A900 with me.
I’ve learned a few things about dogs, nature, gear, and food over the years. I just thought it might be nice to share what I’ve learned on the offhand chance that someone else can benefit from my experience. That’s what this site is about.
Last bit- I captured all of the images on this site and I retain the rights to them. If you see something you like, please don’t steal it. Contact me- we can probably work something out.
