Dumpout Trail

The first half mile or so of Dumpout Trail climbs nicely from Dump Gulch and then changes into a wonderfully rocky, twisty trail that kind of contours out and wraps around to a lovely meadow just before it passes through a meadow and connects with Prospect Shafts.

This is a fun trail. Too windy to hear or see any birds, but the early flowers (Draba, Pasqueflower, Phlox, and Rockcress) are out in good numbers. The second phase flowers (Arrowleaf and a couple of Milkvetch species) are just staring to show.

Dumpout is about 1.2 miles (1.9k) with about 220 feet (67m) of rise. Due to the abundance of Rocky outcropping that you walk over, this is not a heavily biked trail. Took a bit less than 30 mins from start to finish.
