Today is March 25, 2024. March 25 is the date for when the largest number of Snow Geese and Trumpeter and Tundra Swans historically arrive at Freezout Lake. So the Labrador and I left Helena at a reasonable hour and made our way to Freezeout.
We stopped multiple times along the way. We took quite a nice walk at first people’s Buffalo jump State Park. About a half mile into the hike, a coyote started watching us from the Rimrock. he was paying a little too much attention to the labrador for my comfort so we turned around and headed back to the car.
At Freezeout- we were awestruck. 10’s of Thousands of Snow Geese. It was a wonderful spectacle of nature.
