What a crazy day.
We found a single Phlox with a white bloom, a Field Pussytoes growing and looking happy and healthy, a similarly healthy looking Prairie Smoke plant looking green and lush and the another one that I am struggling to ID.
January is no time for plants to be growing in the hills surrounding Helena. This slope is south facing and gets a lot of sun. Still, flowers in bloom, in January, in Montana, surely must be one of the new signs of the apocalypse.
Despite the fact that I am enjoying the weather immensely, I’m hopeful for some colder temps and ‘make up’ snow in the near future.
