Today was different

Today was a day of change. I saw rivers today that were so differnt than they were two weeks ago. The Madison, Jefferson, and Gallatin are rising. The point where the Missouri River begins was churning and chopping.

And I had it all to myself- well, with the Labrador. No one else was there to break the spell of seeing the wild and, frankly, dangerous manner that the river was showing. Geese were floating past me fast- so fast that they had to break into flight to get back to the water near the island they were nesting on. Only to float past again. And to break into flight again.

Today was contemplative. Today, change is in the air, bit I am not certain what it means yet. Not yet.
