
This is a pretty shot of the Montana sky- yes. Nothing wrong with that. Also nothing too surprising about it. The sky here is magical- probably 250 days a year. Maybe more.
What really makes this skyscape so special to me is simply that the sun is setting nearly 25 minutes later now than it did just 30 days ago. This image was taken at 6:05pm. The sun set today at 5:18, however we were still in a state of twilight at 5 minutes after 6 pm. The wind was blowing quite hard and the air temp was 26f (-3c). The windchill dropped the apparent temps to about 14f (-10c).
Still- the light is coming back and the skies are beautiful.
