June Species Count- 4

Canada Jay at the Start of a Mini-ridge Trail walk

Well. four species is better than nothing, and I suppose that the success we had in May has something to do with our single digit addition to the annual list. That, and the fact that I am deeply engaged in wildflower ID right now. It is hard to keep an eye on the flora, an eye out for birds, and to keep moving fast enough for the Labrador to be happy.

Anyway- here’s the June list of new year birds

Canada Jay

Violet-green Swallow

Pinyon Jay

Rufous Hummingbird
