Obsidian and I took the middle of the day to do a little walking and birding. I didn’t have a lot of time as I was planning to make a Cassoulet recipe that I enjoy, but I really wanted to get out and see what, if anything, was moving in the valley.
Not much.
We saw three Rough-legged Hawks, a huge dark-morph Red Tail, a few Mallards, and a half dozen Common Goldeneyes. Still- we got out and walked for a while and I hit 13,000 steps. Everything is sleeping out there right now- but that won’t last.
And, I think I wore the Lab out.
Nature, every day.
