Spent the day walking on the beach. Nice day all around. We watched a Grey Whale swim around in front of our house for about an hour. Then a harbor seal showed up and watched the whale and us! It was a minus tide, so later we walked way out near where the whale was swimming. Meghan, Erin and I went out to the end of the spit just south of town and saw Golden Crowned Sparrows and Black Turnstones playing in a tide pool about 200 meters below us. It was crazy windy and I think we (I) was glad there was a lot of bushy growth on the walk out. I suspect we were on a knife edge for a couple dozen feet. Amazing.
